"seo parameter diagram"

At Eco Press (an seo internet marketing and social media agency based out of Miami, FL) we pride ourselves on our superb seo skills. I am sure you know that with anything in life, there’s good work vs. mediocre work! The same is true for SEO. Let’s take the following example: one of my favorite clients, Sydney! Faye-Davis, an uber successful luxury realtor specializing in Williams Island real estate. When I manage her monthly real estate social media marketing campaign, I have quite a few images I have to work with.To you, it may seem like a simple task. It’s actually a very laborious task. Why? Because each image has to be optimized and tagged for several reasons: (1) there’s a coding protocol that all internet marketers and web designers should adhere to, as there are the seeing impaired individuals who cannot see the image, but there are computer devices that read this code out to them and thus, they know what image is placed on the page , (2) the image alt attribute is used to display text in the case someone visits your page with a browser that can’t show images, (3) Google looks out for proper image coding, and ranks accordingly, and (4) it is the right way of doing things, for successful seo depends on ethical practices.

It literally takes two minutes per image (if you have 20 images, that’ 40 minutes just on uploading images to a single blog post). Most people are not aware of this. You rely on the expertise of the seo company you hire. I’d venture to say that 75% of so-called seo young marketers don’t bother with this arduous process. I see this type of neglect by web designers and seo marketers day in and day out!

So the moral of the story is: If you’re doing your own seo work, mind the ALT tag when it comes to images. If you’re in the process of hiring and SEO company to run your internet marketing campaign do your research. Look for reliable seo marketers who take the time to explain the process to you and have garnered a great reputation online.

I don’t expect you to know all these nuances, after all, you’re in the business of whatever it is that you do, not in the seo business. However, just keep in mind that if you are paying $200 a month for seo work, you’re getting what you pay for! Solid seo work is priceless. The existence of your business depends on proper and ethical practices.

As 2012 is coming to a close, I’d like to wish you a happy holiday season and thank all of you who take the time out to read my blog.

Cheers,

Anabelle Taub

According to the ad network Chitika, 43% of overall local query came from Google mobile and PC searches. This is an enormous opportunity for small businesses to take advantage of. The study compared local search volumes on Google, Yahoo! and Bing. Millions of online ad impressions were studied by Chitika (between September 21st and 27th, 2012). 43% is a staggering number, compared to 25% of local searches performed on Yahoo! and Bing.

As a business owner, what does it mean for you? Well, think about this… It is in Google’s best interest to run their local search maps like a well oiled machine. Why? Because they want to remain as the global number 1 search engine! This means, that as a business owner you really need be concerned about how your business is ranking. Especially on Google! Two years ago, 20% of queries related to location, today, late 2012, local queries amount to 43%.

Let’s talk about Google mobile searches….. (Have a look at graph first, please):

"graph"

50% of mobile searches carry a local intent. As a business owner this should be good news to you– unless, of course, your business does not rank well. Mobile local search volumes across search engines will continue to rise, and at rapid pace! Billions of mobile queries are indexed on a monthly basis.

Bottom line, as a business owner, consider this– local searchers are more likely to convert to clients, especially mobile users! So, unless your website is mobile friendly and your exposure is on the very first page of search engines such as Google, well, then, your business may become obsolete by the year 2014 (unless of course you are lucky enough to rely only on repeat clientele).

At Eco Press (based out of Miami, Fl), we strive to provide our clients with optimal caliber web design, seo and social media marketing services. Our clients’ websites are all mobile friendly, and all rank on the first page of search engines (sometimes multiple times on the same first page). Good seo work, and top ranking takes time.

If you’d like your business to rank high on Google and the like, please contact Eco Press.

Wishing you a great day,

Anabelle Taub

Alas, I have some time to sit and blog about my passion– seo and social media. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Anabelle Taub. I am the owner and founder of Eco Press– a digital social media marketing and web design agency, based out of Aventura (Miami), Florida. I am obsessed with social media! Largely in part because I’ve witnessed what this amazing online trend has done in saving so many small businesses who were on the brink of bankruptcy. If your social media marketing specialist knows what he/she is doing,  your small business has the potential to flourish in ways you can never imagine.

At Eco Press we specialize in white hat search engine optimization (basically this means we don’t take short cuts, and our goal is to produce long-term result, it means doing things the right way), so anytime I read anything about Google, Bing or Yahoo!, I pay close attention.

According to Forbes Eric Schmidt (Google’s head honcho) has floated around the idea that Google would be interested in pursuing a partnership with Yahoo!. You may not know this, but back in 2008 there was serious talk between the two, but Google pulled out, because they feared the US government would deem them a monopoly.

Although Bing (Microsoft) and Yahoo! currently have a deal, it seems their contractual obligation come to an end in 2013. You have to wonder if there’s merit to this ‘rumor,’ especially since Marissa Mayer (formerly of Google) has now joined and is heading Yahoo!. Time will tell– she may either be interested in such a merger, or she may have an ambitious vision of making Yahoo! relevant again.

In the meanwhile, we’re still betting our money on Google. Promise to keep you posted.

I got the idea for this short blog entry because of an unsolicited black hat SEO offer I received today. I am about to share an seo tip with you that will save you a lot of aggravation, and well spent money.

For new readers, my name is Anabelle Taub. I own and manage Eco Press, a search engine marketing and seo agency in Miami, Florida. My website clearly states this. Alas, my bewilderment at the offer to pay me $50 per month to link to a website. The person went so far to create the page for me. I was shocked! An expert seo specialist would NEVER accept such an offer. It dawned on me, though, that many people would. Plus, I realized that there are inexperienced and some not so honest seo guys out there that would sell these kinds of services to you. Heed my warning, participate in this type of link activity, your website’s ranking will drop, significantly!!!!! Add an extra exclamation mark!

Allow me to explain……….

If your seo specialist tries to sell you a link exchange service (whereby you are paid a fee to link to another website, and vise versa), run the other way! The problem with link exchange programs or link exchange commerce (same thing)  is that they are used in part to full web crawlers into artificially ranking pages higher on search engines. Google calls these practices “link schemes.” If google deems this type of link exchange practice to be shady, they will penalize you by dropping your website off the face of cyberspace!

Here’s the perfect example:

In February 2011, the New York Times exposed a practice where the giant retailer, JC Penny, was finishing atop of the search engine results pages in searches for words such as “furniture” and “home decor.” They also finished atop for specific keywords and phrases such as “grommet top curtains” and “Samsonite carry on luggage,” the latter beating even Samsonite.com. Turns out that JC Penney’s search engine company was buying links to push the retailer up to the top of the SERPs. The Times article prompted Google to intervene, effectively burying numerous SERP results for the retailer. Ouch!  "black hat"

I urge you not to participate in page swapping, bartering, or the like. Allow links to your site to be organic. If you have worthy content, the legitimate links will follow.

Hi, my name is Anabelle Taub. I am the owner of Eco Press (based out of Aventura, FL), a digital social media marketing and web design boutique. Many of my Miami based clients enjoy top Google, Yahoo! and Bing ranking. Often, potential clients who search out their specific service will find them at least once (in some cases up to five times) on the first page of Google and the like.

If you’re looking for a search engine optimizer to market your business online, here are a couple of tips:

  1. Never, ever talk to an SEO professional (so to speak) who e-mails you out of the blue.
  2. No honest SEO professional can GUARANTEE you any type of ranking. If someone makes you a promise that seems too good to be true, run the other way!
  3. If the SEO professional (so to speak) tells you that they rely on linking your business on hundreds of other websites, this is a NO NO! The web crawlers will detect this and drop you off the face of the search engine world!
  4. If a search engine professional solicits your business, be sure to read their blog. If they don’t have one, they are not as professional as they claim to be! Read about their philosophy. Do they play it safe, or promise to push the search engines limits? If it’s the latter, run the other way.

If you’re considering several search engine optimizers, call their firms. Are they polite, friendly and professional? Or are they trying to sell you a whole lot of nothing? Ask for references. If they don’t provide references within 24 hours, you should think twice.

Please note: It is totally normal for search engine professionals not to mention the clients they optimize on their websites. After all, no business owner would want people to know that they pay for a service to appear on the first page of search engines.

At Eco Press, my philosophy is as follows: If you pay for my search engine marketing and search engine optimization services for your business (let’s suppose you own a nail salon), I won’t take on another client who owns the same business as yours if they’re located in the same county. If the search engine optimizer can’t guarantee you the same gesture of loyalty, you should reconsider hiring him/her.

If you’d like to speak with me personally about optimizing your business, please call me at: 305-924-7471.

"anabelle taub vector image"Hi,

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Anabelle Taub. I own Eco Press, a Miami based (well, more specifically, Aventura) digital social media and web design marketing boutique, with an emphasis on green marketing. I specialize in SEO, also known as search engine optimization. If you’re a small business owner, it is imperative that you hire a professional search engine optimizer to ensure that your business is found on the first page of  search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing. I happen to know a thing or two (well, maybe more than that), about SEO.

I’d like to explain to you what SEO is, and how important it is. First, I have to emphasize that search engine optimization is a long-term effort. It requires a tremendous amount of ability, work, patience and consistency. Search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing, drive the internet. As a small business owner , you’re probably going to depend largely on search engines to deliver your business’ message to your clients, both present and future. A high placement on search engines can mean a tremendous growth for your business.

SEO is a huge field, with literally thousands of little details that come together to make a successful campaign. If SEO campaigns are not handled in a professional and expert way, your business may be blacklisted for years to come from important search engines such as Google.

If you’re not a professional search engine optimizer, you will have a hard time separating tricks from solid strategies. Using tricks such as adding dozens and dozens of links on a multitude of pages, may get you initial success, but you will run the risk of getting penalized. Such penalties may result in your business being dropped to the fourth or fifth page of search engines. Search engines don’t like to be fooled. The bottom line, if you’re using trickery to gain a high-ranking for whatever it is that you’re trying to sell, the search engine’s programming team will remove you from the rankings.

Many of my clients sought my help after hiring unscrupulous so-called search engine optimizers, only to realize that they threw away hard-earned money, and have been dropped of the face of the search engine pages. I use only ethical, proven and consistent methods to make sure that my clients enjoy top-level ranking. Although I am based out of Miami, quite a few of my clients live in other states, as well as out of the country.

I don’t list these businesses on Eco Press, because most business owners really don’t want to be outed as having a marketing agency optimizing them. Although this is a completely legitimate method in today’s digital marketing world, it is completely understandable that as a business owner you would want your potential clients to be under the impression that your business stands out from the rest. In all honesty, as a search engine optimizer, I have to make this point, in order for your business to benefit from top ranking on the first page of search engines, it must mean that your website, content and marketing ads provide the most up-to-date information. In short, the more relevant your information is, the more it is geared to web surfers who are looking for what it is that you’re selling, the higher your ranking will be on search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing.

If you’re interested in having your business enjoy top search engine ranking, please feel free to call me at: 305.924.7471. During a discreet consultation, I will show you examples of businesses which I’ve optimized, and gotten consistent top ranking results for.

Wishing you a nice day,

Anabelle Taub
